A Chocolate bar is a food that heals 30 Life Points when consumed. However, it is mainly used as an ingredient in Cooking and as a secondary ingredient for potions in Herblore.

In stores, its price can range from 20-25 depending on the current stock.

Dropping monsters Edit

Monster Combat level Quantity Rarity

Ivory statue 108 12 (noted) 7Unknown

UsesEdit

Members can mix the chocolate bar with milk, producing Chocolatey milk. Chocolatey milk is drinkable, heals 40 lifepoints, and has a level 4 Cooking requirement. It gives no Cooking experience.

The chocolatey milk can further be mixed into hangover cure, by using a Snape grass with it, but doing so gives no Cooking experience. The hangover cure is a quest item for the Plague City quest and the Mudskipper point Mogre miniquest.

Further, a chocolate bar may be added to a Cake to produce a Chocolate cake, giving 30 cooking experience. It is also an ingredient in the Chocchip crunchies.

Chocolate bars are no longer an efficient way for free-to-play players to acquire money.

As chocolate dustEdit

Main article: Chocolate dust

Players can turn a chocolate bar into Chocolate dust by grinding with in a pestle and mortar (Members) or knife. This is also a slow, yet effective way of making money via the Grand Exchange. Members can make an Energy potion by combining Harralander in a Vial of water and then adding chocolate dust. Members can also brew Chef's Delight. Chocolate dust can be used on a cake to make a chocolate cake the same way a chocolate bar can be.

Obtaining chocolate barsEdit

Players cannot make chocolate bars by any method. They spawn in the Cooks' Guild, Zanaris and in a house in Draynor Village. Alternatively, players can buy them from Heckel Funch's Fine Groceries in the Tree Gnome Stronghold, from the Culinaromancer's Chest (which contains a bank in the same chest), from Wydin's Food Store in Port Sarim, from the Ardougne Bakery Stalls in East Ardougne. There are two stalls in Ardougne that each sell 100 bars, this is probably the fastest way seeing there are two sellers. They can also be bought from Rok's Chocs Box in Nardah (which is also very close to a Bank). You can also obtain it in the Sandwich Lady random event, but the Sandwich Lady must say that you can take the chocolate bar. Also Ivory statue monsters drop chocolate bars noted in quantities of 12 at a time.

TriviaEdit

  • Some players with access to the Culinaromancer's Chest in Lumbridge Castle purchase chocolate bars at relatively low prices from the chest and sell them on the Grand Exchange, making a fair profit. However, the bars do not always sell rapidly on the Grand Exchange.
  • Other players purchase the bars from the Culinaromancer's Chest, thieve cakes from the Ardougne Bakery Stalls, and then make Chocolate cakes for sale on the Grand Exchange. This can be a good money earner, as the ordinary cakes are obtained free while chocolate cakes usually sell well. Players doing this also earn thieving experience for stealing the cakes and cooking experience for making them into chocolate cakes.
