Cave horrors are Slayer monsters that require level 58 slayer, witchwood icon and a light source to successfully hunt and kill.
Players need to buy a witchwood icon available from any Slayer master, and have it worn while fighting these in close combat. You do not need the icon to damage them, however, without the icon, the cave horrors will reduce your stats by a significant amount as well as dealing decent damage each time it screams, similar to the effect of a Banshee when fought without earmuffs

[edit] Locations
- Mos Le'Harmless Caves - in a cave on the south(-east) side of the island, you will need a light source to get into the cave. E.g Bullseye Lantern.
[edit] Strengths and weaknesses
Players must use a witchwood icon to fight them. They are fairly easy to use range or a Halberd on in their location. Their attack consists of either regular melee attacks or screaming. When they scream, their attack behave as magic (so it's best to wear dragonhide while fighting them), but it's not a distance attack (similarly to the attacks of Bloodvelds, Jellies and Killerwatts). Although the attacks are magic based, protect from melee will provide complete protection from damage. Some people prefer to bring Guthan's armour and a Prayer potion as they could activate Protect from Melee and effectively increase their hp using Guthan armour, while using the prayer points to protect from damage while low magic defence. However, there is a safe spot in the North-Western part of the cave. This spot gives you coverage except in few occasions where the Cave Horrors move around.
There is a spot west of the entrance just south of the pool where you can range or halberd 2 of the beasts.
