Cave bugs can be assigned as Slayer assignments, and require level 7 Slayer to kill. Bring food if you are below level 20, as they regenerate quickly. These are good monsters to kill for Green charms.

This monster drops items from the rare drop table.
The ring of wealth improves the chances if equipped but is not required to access the table.

Trivia

• The level 6 version can restore up to 30 life points in between attacks.
• This is the second highest level monster to drop a level 1 clue scroll, at level 96. Orks drop level 1 clue scrolls as well.
• When you kill the level 96 version, their legs fall apart, and they explode. The explosion deals no damage so you can see it up close.
• You gain 27xp for one hitting the level 6 Cave Bugs, but you can get between 48-54xp if you use a Dragon Dagger special attack. This is unknown to be a glitch at this point in time.
