Definition[]
I think we need to precise the definition of a "quest item", since I noticed Wolf bones have been noted as quest items and I'm not sure this is really pertinent. So, is a quest item :
- any item used in a quest ? If yes, tinderbox is one. If no, Wolf bones aren't one.
- an item that has a use only during a quest and can't be obtained or kept afterward ? Example : A glowing Heart crystal
- an item that can only be obtained during a quest or by trading ? Example : Anti-dragon shield
- an item that can only be obtained during or after a quest ? Example : Ava's accumulator

- How about any items that are part of a quest reward or whose primary purpose is during a quest? For example, the anti-dragon shield wouldn't be a quest item, because it's used to kill dragons outside of the quest and is not part of its reward. Items like Ava's accumulator would be, though. - I don't know... this category is quite annoying. The idea of "primary purpose" isn't clear enough imo, item "which has no use outside the quest" seems better. Also, making a distinction between "quest reward" and "obtained during the quest" looks a bit artificial... I think Lunar equipment could really be considered a quest item, it's obtained during the quest and not in the reward though. So, to sum up : "Item that can only be obtained through a quest (or trading) and has a use in the quest, or is obtained only as a quest reward, or item that has no use except during a quest" ? With this A glowing Heart crystal, Anti-dragon shield, Ava's accumulator, Lunar equipment, Helm of neitiznot, 'Perfect' gold bar are quest items. How about something like Menaphite robes or Ancient staff though ?
