Cat masks are obtained as rewards from level 2 treasure trails. They were released as part of the 14 April 2008 treasure trail update, along with other animal masks, the top hat, and canes. Like all other animal masks, the Cat mask has been fluctuating in value since early November.

This mask gives no stat bonuses, players wear it to show off they have it or because they like the appearance.

• The examine info "It's the year of the cat!" may be a reference to the Al Stewart song released in 1976 "Year Of The Cat".
