Getting startedEdit

Carnillean Mansion location

Location of the family's home

  • Head to the Carnillean Family's home in the south-west corner of East Ardougne, south of the castle.
  • Talk to Xenia. (Chat 2)
  • Talk to Ceril Carnillean. (Chat 1114)
  • Talk to Butler Crichton. (Chat 11)
  • Head into the basement and enter the hole near the ladder (cutscene will begin), then head back to the house.

Master bedroomEdit
  • Go to the 1st2nd floor[UK] and take the red and black dragon heads from the wall.
  • Tear the net curtain from the northeast wall.
  • Search the southern wardrobe for the armour and sword.
  • Take the money pouch from the bed or Henryeta's necklace from the dresser.
Phillipe's roomEdit
Sarsaparilla's roomEdit
  • Talk to Sarsaparilla (Chat 3), then talk again. (Chat 32241)
  • Search the wardrobe for her dress. (Chat 1)

The cellarEdit

The caveEdit

  • Right-click build on the hole hotspot. (Chat 1)
  • Enter the cave and talk to Sarsaparilla and Claus and have them follow.
  • Continue through the cave and talk to the goblins. (Chat 331)
  • Southeast of the goblins, enter the passage, take skulls and bones from the spoils heap.
  • Take the cave mouse to have the wolves follow you out.

Building the questEdit

  • Head north to the centre bridge.
  • Build the jailer hotspot.
    • If the money pouch was taken, use it on Claus.
  • Cross the bridge, build the dragon hotspots.
  • Use the dragon heads on the wolves.
  • Build the Damsel hotspot.
    • If the necklace was taken, use it on Sarsaparilla.
  • Head back south across the bridge.
  • Build hotspots in these locations as you backtrack up towards the cellar:
    • Decoration - on the wall east of the goblin's bonfire
    • Traps - east and west of the bonfire
    • Decoration - west of the bonfire at the end of the hall
    • Decoration - on the north wall before turning around towards the cave entrance
    • Obstacle - build spike pit on the floor in the southernmost corridor, heading towards the cave entrance


  • Head back into the house and talk to Philipe. (Chat )
  • Pickpocket him. Talk to him again. (Chat 41)
  • Proceed through the cave while Philipe follows. (Chat ~)
  • Watch the cutscene where Philipe attempts to pass the guards.
  • Talk to one of the goblins until a dialogue window with the Butler appears - do not continue dialogue until Philipe passes.
  • Talk to Philipe again to have him follow.
  • Continue towards Claus. (Chat ~)
  • Talk to Philipe again to have him follow.
  • Continue towards the dragons. (Chat ~)
  • After the dragons are slain, a cave wolf matriarch will arrive.
  • Attempt to attack the matriarch to focus its attacks on you. Dodge or withstand the attacks until Philipe kills it.
    • Do not use Protect from Magic or the matriarch will revert her attention back to Philipe.
  • Talk to Philipe for a cutscene.

Finishing upEdit

  • Talk to Ceril for a cutscene.
  • Talk to Xenia. (Chat 4)
  • Talk to Ceril.
  • Quest complete!
  • Loot the chest near Ceril.


Carnillean Rising reward
Additional rewards/activities

After the quest, talk to Ceril Carnillean to locate Philipe Carnillean, who will give you an experience lamp worth 2,000 Skills experience in a skill of your choosing. You must have the correct number of quest points before Ceril gives you the next location. You don't have to speak to Ceril to unlock the next location; However, you need to use the experience lamp to make Philipe move to the next location.

Talk to Claus the chef and then defeat the wolf matriarch to obtain her skull and get the choice of the following rewards:

After speaking to Philipe with 200 quest points, players can talk with Henryeta Carnillean and claim Rover the red dragon. After speaking to Philipe with 400 quest points, players can also claim Spot the black dragon from Henryeta Carnillean (though this reward is currently unobtainable due to there not being enough quest points in the game yet).
