The Cape of legends is a cape that can be bought for 450 coins from the Legends' Guild after players have completed the Legends Quest.
The Cape of Legends is the only cape to be pure white in colour. It is known to be a symbol of status among players, because it requires the player to go through a series of challenging quests. There are various NPCs who appear to be wearing one, some of which have slight variations. It is possible to obtain the cape without having completed the Legends Quest, by entering the Legend's Guild at the very end of the quest, but just before it is completed, and buying it from the store. The Cape of Legends is almost equivalent to Obsidian cape, except that it has 2 points less on all defence stats, making the Obsidian cape slightly more effective. This has caused many players to rant about making the Cape of Legends better than the Obsidian Cape. However, for the 2 points difference the Legends cape is by far cheaper, making this cape the popular choice when it comes to dangerous situations such as PKing.

- The lowest level player to buy a Cape of Legends was a level 5 who abused the Noclip Glitch. The guild was patched so you had to beat the quest before you could buy the cape after Jagex noticed the bug.
- The lowest level player to buy the cape without the use of bugs, with video proof, had a combat level of 52. Several players have reported sightings of a player with a combat level of around 48 with the cape, but no proof has been found.
- The cape is one of the most common capes worn by NPCs even though it is very unlikely they were accepted into the Legend's Guild, such as the level 9 wizards in the Wizard's Tower.
