The charms to experience calculator takes inputs of your Summoning level and how many of each charm you have, and will convert it into an experience value. Some familiars are excluded as they require hard and/or tedious to obtain untradeable tertiary ingredients; note that none are excluded due to unreasonable cost to make - you should make sure the pouches you make are within your budget. Thus, consider the value given as an upper bound for experience gain. The Wolf Whistle quest is required to start training summoning.
