Burnt fish is made when players attempt to cook a fish such as salmon, trout or cod, but accidentally burn it. The likelihood of burning food when cooking will decrease as the player's cooking level increases, and in any case is lower on a range than a fire.
There is a burnt fish that respawns on the table in Caeleb's house in Catherby.
Like almost all burnt food items, burnt fish is useless and worthless. Any player who finds it on the ground should ignore it. Before the trade updates, players used to scam other less experienced players by selling them burnt fish for very high prices claiming it was a rare black fish. People now say this to see how gullible other players are.
