Bundle of capets is used in the quest Do No Evil. It is found by opening a crate when digging in the desert. It should be used to establish a carpet transport link at the monkey camp. If for some reason you lose or destroy them, you can talk to Ali Morrisane with a Ring of charos (a) equipped in order to convince him to give them back to you.
You would pursuade him by telling him that the player needs it more than he does and guilt him into giving the recovered carpets.
