A Broodoo shield is a special member's only shield. It can be created with 35 Crafting by using a hammer on a tribal mask with two snakeskins and eight nails in your inventory, granting 100 Crafting experience.

A Broodoo shield requires 25 Defence and 25 Magic to wear. It is notable for being one of the few shields with a magic attack bonus.

Broodoo shields have a special ability when used in combat; if a player is fighting an enemy and has a Broodoo shield equipped, it will have a 1 in 10 chance of casting a spell on the enemy. Depending on which shield the player is wielding, one of their opponent's skills will first be decreased by 1, and then by 5% of their remaining total. However, the enemy has to be in close range, they must still have over half of their Hitpoints and their skills must be at the base levels for them to be affected.

The number following the name of the Broodoo shield represents the number of charges left on the shield. Every time the spell is used this amount will decrease by one.

There are three colours of Broodoo shields: blue, green and orange. The colour of the shield is decided on the colour of the Broodoo mask from which the shield is created. Each kind of Broodoo shield provides different skill-decreasing spell:

• The blue broodoo shield's special spell lowers the opponent's Attack level.
• The green broodoo shield's special spell lowers the opponent's Defence level.
• The orange broodoo shield's special spell lowers the opponent's Strength level.

Unlike the Tribal mask, Broodoo shields cannot be stored in a player's Costume Room.
