Brief Respite is an Invention perk that reduces the Guthix's Blessing and Rejuvenate abilities' total healing and cooldown. It can be created in armour gizmos.

Brief Respite's value can be judged based on its effective life points healed per minute. The actual effect varies between the two abilities.

Rejuvenate is calculated such that for each time the ability restores life points, the amount restored is $\frac{40-R}{100}\times \frac{1}{16} \times LP$.

Guthix's Blessing is at the disadvantage of miscalculated healing, such that each time it restores life points, the amount restored is $\frac{8 - R}{100} \times LP$. Instead of 40% total, Guthix's Blessing heals 35%, 30%, and 25%, depending on rank, with cooldowns equal to that of Rejuvenate. The effective healing is 8% LP/min independently of rank, i.e. making the perk useless in this case.

Calculation

The calculations above for the effective healing $E$ for rank $R$ follow the formula:

$E = 60 \times \left( \frac{40 \times (1 - \frac{R}{100})}{300 - 15R} \right)$
