Bread is one of the first items that can be cooked, and fairly easily, so long as one has the patience to travel to fetch what's needed to make flour. It can be made at Cooking level 1.
To make bread, find a grain patch and pick some grain. Then find a windmill, and use the grain in the very top floor of the windmill, putting it in the hopper, and then operating the hopper controls to send it down the chute. Then head down to the first floor and use a pot on the flour bin to acquire a pot of flour.
Once you have your flour, use a bucket of water with the flour to create bread dough (also resulting in an empty bucket and an empty pot). Then use the bread dough on a range to get bread, which can then be consumed to heal 5 Hitpoints. Fires do not work for cooking bread.
Members can also steal bread from bakery stalls at level 5 Thieving.
Bread is involved in the Merlin's Crystal, Death Plateau, Recipe for Disaster, and Enakhra's_Lament quests.
