Brawling gloves (fishing) (also known as Fishing brawling gloves) are members-only drops obtained from Revenants in the Forinthry Dungeon or the Chaos elemental.

The gloves provide 50% bonus while training on the Fishing skill. In addition, the gloves provide a 400% bonus to experience if the player trains while in the Wilderness. The gloves last for around 400 fish before disintegrating. They provide no Attack or Defence bonuses whatsoever.

In order to maximize the gloves, the fastest way to get fishing up with these gloves would be lobsters in level 35 Wilderness. While fishing for swordfish and tuna's may seem like a better alternative, due to the amount of tuna caught vs. swordfish caught, lobsters are actually better xp. Since the gloves last for 400 fish catches, you will gain approximately 144k fishing exp. When doing this be wary of Pkers being in the area.

While fishing with these gloves equipped the scrolling experience from the XP button will not show any "Bonus experience." Instead it will show the total amount in one grouping, with a +0 next to it. You do still get the 50% and 400% increase respectively.

Tips and Tricks Edit

  • Bringing a Bunyip (Level 68 summoning) provides an alternative to dropping the fish while training in the wilderness. Using the fish caught with the Bunyip will turn them into water runes, providing profit without having to bank.
