Bone bolts can be bought from the Nardok's Bone Weapons shop- run by Nardok in the Dorgeshuun Mines- after completing The Lost Tribe quest. Bone bolts cannot be created by players. Bone bolts are usable only with the Dorgeshuun crossbow or Zanik's crossbow.
Bone Bolts offer the same Ranged strength bonuses as Rune Arrows do, which is +49.
Bone bolts, along with a Dorgeshuun or Zanik's crossbow, are a cost-effective range training method. Nardok sells the bolts for 4 to 5 coins each, depending on the shop's current stock, but only sells a maximum of 300 at a time. It takes about a day for the shop's supply to completely restock. They are considered popular to train with amongst players training ranged because of his low price. At one time bone bolts used to sell for as low as 2 coins each at the Grand Exchange. Also, the fact that these bolts are about the same price of bronze bolts, yet are four times as strong makes them ideal for training.
Since infinite stock was removed from shops with the "Personalised Shops" update on 2 September, bone bolts have become more difficult to obtain via the Grand Exchange, and their price has risen.
