Bonafido is the chief builder, as he and his team are building the Tower of Life. He and his workers have stopped work, as they believe it to be used for the wrong reasons. He is the head builder as he has builder clothes, he is the only builder that you cannot get builder clothes from.
His name may be a pun on the Latin phrase bona fide, which means "Good faith".
