Bloodveld are assigned as a Slayer task by VannakaChaeldar, Sumona, Duradel/Lapalok and Kuradal. These big beasts are very weak to almost any type of combat (like demons) but they are weakest against magic (especially fire spells). They have an unusually high amount of life points, but deal very low damage in return. As they use melee attacks, using magic equipment will usually block off most of their attacks.

Bloodveld found in the God Wars dungeon are weak against Water spells and will use melee, so they can be safe spotted.

Be careful when fighting bloodveld in the Meiyerditch dungeon, as it also contains mutated bloodveld which are weak against fire spells instead.

Bloodveld have a high drop rate of green charms and blood runes.

Pernix and Armadyl are of the range class and have a negative melee attack bonus, so it would be favourable to use Karil's, Royal or Black dragonhide if you have sufficient healing and defence.

If using prayers, be sure to use a magic protection prayer. Bring equipment or supplies like prayer potions to restore prayer points as needed. Alternatively, in places of supplies, if using the Slayer Tower, wear an Ardougne cloak 3 or better and bring a ring of slaying. Teleport to the Kandarin Monastery using the cloak to recharge prayer and use the ring to teleport back to the tower.

If not using prayers, bring food and/or a healing familiar.

Wear high magic-defence ranged armour (such as good dragonhide armour or Armadyl armour, for some examples). A good bow or crossbow will suffice but when fighting the regular (non-God Wars) bloodveld, thrown weapons such as rune knives or blisterwood stakes will do the most damage. At high range level and Momentum activated, 2h crossbows are also very effective.
