The Blessed spirit shield was released on 15 September 2008 along with Summer's end. It requires 70 Defence and 60 Prayer to wield. To make this shield, players must use the elixir with the spirit shield at an altar of Saradomin, which requires 85 prayer. If they lack the required skill level, they can alternatively talk to Brother Jered with a Holy elixir and a plain Spirit shield in their inventory. The monk will then bless the shield, while charging the player one million coins in a manner akin to Oziach making a dragonfire shield. Once blessed, players may equip their spirit shield with sigils to enhance them. To equip this shield with a sigil, players need 90 Prayer and 85 Smithing.
This shield's stats are comparable to the stats of the Arcane and Spectral spirit shields. The only difference is that this is a basic form of those two, having regular magic attack and defence stats (for a spirit shield).
