The Blackened crystal is a quest item used in the Mourning's Ends Part II quest. It is obtained by using a chisel on a large black rock in the Temple of Light at the start of the quest. The player must give the crystal to Arianwyn who will then turn it into a newly made crystal which is needed to complete the final part of the quest. If a player has lost their blackened crystal, they must carve a new piece from the giant black crystal in order to get it back.
