The Black knife is a member's only Ranged throwing weapon. The player must have at least 10 Ranged to wield this throwing knife. They can be obtained as drops from Ankou, Cyclopes, Shadow warriors or level 48 soldierss, or by trading with another player. Black knives can be poisoned and can be wielded with a shield or god book for protection.

Black knives are also one of the only two ranged weapons able to harm the Tormented wraith, the other being Black darts.
