The Black platebody (g) is a gold-trimmed version of a black platebody. It has the same defence stats as a normal black platebody and thus is purely ornamental in purpose. It is a possible reward from level 1 treasure trails. This piece of armour cannot be made with the Smithing skill.

It requires 10 defence to equip. Players buy it for its unique design.

• Oddly, The Black Platebody (g) is more expensive than the Adamant Platebody (g).
• This platebody was once used as a scam. A player would claim to be able to trim a piece of Armour. The victim then would give the player the piece of Armour and a charged fee. The scammer would then sell/keep the item(s). Players can not trim Armour, this piece is only available from treasure trails.
