Betty is the owner of Betty's Magic Emporium in Port Sarim. She is the only character to sell eye of newt in free-to-play worlds. Lottie, her assistant, stays under her shop.
Betty plays a vital role in the Witch's Potion quest, as well as being a character in The Hand in the Sand quest. After completing Hand in the Sand, Betty will make more pink dye for the price of 20 coins.
With the release of the 2008 Hallowe'en event, she plays an important role in the Swept Away quest.
Betty is also involved in the quest While Guthix Sleeps.
She is involved in one of the hard tasks in the Falador Diary (part of the Achievement Diary): Dye a cape pink with Pink dye from Betty in Port Sarim.
Around her neck, Betty seems to be wearing a Pendant of lucien -- This might mean that Betty is the speculated daughter of Lucien.
