The Beacon ring is a ring that players will initially use in What Lies Below. It is obtained from Zaff, and is used to summon him in the quest.

It has no use after the quest, besides its very small magic attack bonus (+2) and magic defence bonus (+1). It was the weakest of rings with magic bonuses, until the release of the Explorer's Ring.

Players can regain this ring for free from Zaff if they lose it, therefore a player needing bank space can drop it and regain it in a time of need from Zaff.

Even the summoning powers of the Beacon Ring has limits: Beyond the boundaries of Varrock, its magic has no effect.
