This is needed for the wishlist of the Rag and Bone Man quest. It is obtained as a drop from the Basilisk, and requires a slayer level of 40 or higher. The player must polish the bone by placing the bone in a pot of vinegar. Then they must use the pot, logs and a tinderbox on the pot-boiler near the Odd Old Man's house. Then they may give the now polished bone, to the odd old man. It is only obtainable before the player hands in the bone to the old man.
