Barrows gloves are special metal gloves that can be bought from the Culinaromancer's Chest for 100 000 coins (fully stocked) after full completion of the Recipe for Disaster quest. They look similar to barrows armour, hence their name, but they cannot be obtained from the Barrows minigame. These are untradeable, and are considered the best combat-based gloves in the game as they give the highest attack for all 5 combat bonuses. They also give the highest strength bonus of any non-weapon item in the game. Only Dragon gauntlets have higher melee and ranged defence, and only Black and Third age vambraces have higher mage defence.

There is a debate over the real name, as they are merely called 'Gloves' in the game. Many players think that they look similar to barrows equipment, since their colour is identical to the platebodies, platelegs, and helmets of Dharok, Guthan, and Torag. They are generally known as barrows gloves, but some players prefer to call them 'dark gloves'. As with all Glove-based equipment, this item cannot be made using the Smithing skill.
