Barrier generators are used during The Great Orb Project activity. These green and yellow barrier generators may be used to conjure a magical barrier that can be used to stop the players and orbs in their path.

The barriers may be destroyed by right-clicking on the barrier, and choosing "Destroy". Same-coloured barriers may be destroyed in a single attempt, while opposition barriers may take multiple attempts before being destroyed.
You cannot place barriers close to an exit. If you attempt to do this, a message will appear saying: "Please do not block the exit."
To change teams or to abandon an on-going game, the barrier generator may be destroyed.
Trivia
Edit
- There is a glitch for a player standing within a barrier. The player will disappear leaving only the Runecrafter hat and the equipped wand.
- The animation for a player attempting to destroy a barrier is similar to a wizard casting a spell in the Harry Potter movie series.
- Even though this item has a combat style (a stabbing melee weapon), it is unequippable. The attractor and repeller wands are equipable, but there's nothing to attack them with since the Runecrafting Guild and the Runecrafting Altars don't have any enemies.
