Bandos tassets are a part of the Bandos armour set, requiring 65 Defence to wear. They are dropped by General Graardor and his bodyguards in the God Wars Dungeon. Bandos tassets are currently one of only six leg armours to provide a strength bonus, the others being Vesta's Plateskirt, Torva platelegs, Statius's platelegs, Battlemage legs and Vanguard legs. Bandos tassets held the record for having the best range defence for leg armour before the release of PvP worlds where both Vesta's Plateskirt and Statius's platelegs surpassed them. Despite Dragon platelegs being considerably cheaper and offering only slightly less defence bonuses (but having +3 more slash defence), Bandos tassets are considered to be the best leg armour in terms of cost, as they do not degrade or require replacement. As with all other God Wars Dungeon Armour, they have a +1 Prayer bonus. They are often paired with the Bandos Chestplate or the Fighter Torso when worn for combat because of their good defensive bonuses and Strength bonuses.

Bandos tassets, despite being a piece of leg armour of the same material, has a higher High Level Alchemy value than its corresponding body armour, the Bandos chestplate. The high demand for the tassets has led to the tassets rising over the Bandos Godsword, as well as the Zamorak Godsword.

A commonly used alternative to the Bandos Chestplate is the Fighter Torso, which can be obtained, for free, from the minigame Barbarian Assault.
