The Bag of runes was an item used in the Learning the Ropes quest. It was a bag full of runes that had be given to Sir Vant so he could cast spells to weaken the dragon, thus you couldn't see the runes. It could be received from Mikasi, the Magic Tutor in Lumbridge. This item is now discontinued as Learning the Ropes was replaced by Unstable Foundations.
