Mature axeman's folly is a stat enhancing beer that temporarily enhances a player's Woodcutting level by 2. It is the stronger, or 'mature' version of the regular Axeman's Folly, which adds only one level to Woodcutting. There are no areas with a woodcutting requirement so Axeman's Folly is best used in quests with woodcutting requirements that players do not meet.
When brewing Axeman's Folly, there is a small chance that it will turn out mature. As maturation occurs during the brewing process, leaving normal ale in the vat after it has finished brewing will not cause it to turn mature or go bad. The chance of getting a mature ale can be increased by adding The stuff to the vat just prior to adding the hops.
Axeman's Folly can be made from one Oak root, which can be obtained from Farming.

- Increases Woodcutting by 2 levels for around 30 seconds.
- Heals 2 Hitpoints.
- Reduces Attack and Strength by 4 levels.
