The Axeman's Folly is a drink that temporarily raises your Woodcutting level, even though it lowers some of your Combat skills. It requires level 49 Cooking to be brewed and yields 413 Cooking experience when made. It can be brewed by members with the brewing section of the Cooking skill. To brew, a player must visit one of the breweries found in Keldagrim and Port Phasmatys.
To make a batch of Axeman's Folly you must have one handful of oak roots. These can be obtained by growing an oak tree using the Farming skill, then cutting it down and digging up the roots with a spade. First, add 2 buckets of water, then 2 handfuls of barley malt. Then add the oak roots and begin the fermenting process with ale yeast. After waiting one to two days, the ale will be complete and can be collected using eight beer glasses or two calquat kegs.

- Increases Woodcutting by 1 for up to 60 seconds.
- Heals 1 hitpoint.
- Lowers Strength and Attack by 3.
