The Aviantese (plural: Aviantese, singular: Aviansie) are an almost extinct race of humanoid avian creatures that worshipped Armadyl during the Second Age up to the God Wars. They guarded his artefacts, such as the Staff of Armadyl, from evil hands and shared a deep bond with Armadyl. They were also the creators of the Godsword, and tasked with its protection. However, even they could not stop the theft of the staff, the banishment of Zaros and the rise of Zamorak. The Aviantese were believed to have become extinct during the God Wars, however, some are still alive in the God Wars Dungeon. Their destruction was one of the factors contributing to Armadyl's inactivity in Gielinor.
