Avan is found south of Al Kharid Mine.
Avan (labelled Man), or Avan Fitzharmon, is a non-player character found in the Al Kharid Mine. He plays a big role in the Family Crest quest and can turn gauntlets into Goldsmithing gauntlets after the quest for free.
If a player wishes to have their gauntlets turned to goldsmith gauntlets after they have already made a different type, they can change them with Avan for 25,000 coins. More experience will be given upon Smithing a gold bar when wearing the gauntlets (56.25 instead of 22.5).
