Armadyl Godsword Detail

The Armadyl godsword is one of the four godswords. Like all godswords, it requires level 75 Attack to wield. It can be created by using a godsword blade on an Armadyl hilt. It has a special attack called The Judgement which inflicts 25% more damage with a 50% Special bar drain (or a 45% drain if the player uses a Ring of Vigour) , making the Armadyl godsword the most sought-after godsword. The Armadyl godsword, along with the other godswords, was considered to be the strongest weapons in the game before the release of the chaotic maul (the chaotic maul lacks a special attack, however). The Armadyl godsword is created by Smithing together the three Godsword shards (requires 80 Smithing or higher) and using an Armadyl hilt on the blade (has no requirements to do), creating the wieldable Armadyl godsword.

Uses

The Armadyl godsword is (most commonly) used in PvP minigames, the Wilderness and for killing boss monsters such as General Graardor due to its high-hitting special attack. Using all the best Strength boosting potions (such as an extreme strength potion or an overload), and having 99 Strength, a player can hit over 1000 with its special attack against monsters; under ideal conditions, a player can hit up to 1228. For instance, while wearing the Castlewar bracelet in Castle Wars , using the sword's special attack, and wearing Profound decorative equipment, a player can hit extremely high, especially when the opponent has boosted their life points over 990 (with the use of rocktails, saradomin brews and/or certain armour dropped by Nex) (Virtus and Torva will absorb some damage). Arguably, it is a good knock-out weapon along with Dragon claws, although the Dragon claws special attack has a higher theoretical maximum hit than the Armadyl godsword.

With the new upcoming combat beta update the Armadyl Godsword has been decreasing in its price and popularity, This is because the new update will be removing and replacing all the special attacks with abilities, and in turn leaving the Armadyl Godsword the same as the other Godsword's but the only difference being cosmetic.
