Armadyl equipment is a full set of Ranged power armour, shield, and crossbow, obtained from the God Wars Dungeon. The armour (helmet, chestplate and chainskirt) requires 70 Defence to wear, and is dropped by Kree'arra and his bodyguards; the crossbow, the gloves, the boots and the buckler require 70 Ranged, and come from Commander Zilyana and her bodyguards. Armadyl equipment is non-degradable, and the armour is equivalent to Bandos armour and the robes of subjugation, which are respectively melee and Magic sets.
Originally, the set consisted of only a helmet, chestplate, and chainskirt. However, with the God Wars update on 5 September 2012, it received gloves, boots, a buckler for the shield slot, and a main-handed crossbow. Unlike the original items, the new armour pieces require an additional 70 Ranged to wear.
Armadyl armour is strong, does not degrade, and raises the wearer's Ranged damage; as such, it is often preferred to Karil's equipment, which has higher defensive bonuses. Armadyl armour is most often used for training combat and Slayer, and for fighting bosses at higher-levels.
Unlike other weapons from the God Wars Dungeon, the Armadyl crossbow is only tier 70. It is equal in function to Karil's pistol crossbow, but it offers a Prayer bonus. There is no off-hand Armadyl crossbow.
This armour is categorized as power armour. Whilst wearing pieces of power armour, you will receive a damage boost as long as you're using a weapon of synonymous class. Armadyl is a tier-70 ranged-based armour, so, naturally, you'll need to use a ranged weapon to receive the bonus. The damage boost that you receive is found by taking a percentage of the base weapon damage of a tier-70 main-handed weapon/spell/ammo of "Fastest" speed (672). Each piece of power armour that you wear gives you a higher percentage of this number, up to a maximum of 10%. The Boots and Gloves give 1% each, The Body gives 3.5%, The Legs give 2.5%, and Helmet gives 2%. Wearing an entire set of this power armour will give a 67.2 damage boost to your ranged attacks.
