The Arcane sigil was released on 15 September 2008. It can be attached to a Blessed spirit shield to make an Arcane spirit shield. To attach the sigil to the blessed spirit shield, players need 90 Prayer and 85 Smithing.
It Is only obtainable as a rare drop from the Corporeal Beast or by trading with another player.

- Arcane sigil may be a reference to a spell in the Funorb game: Arcanists, as Arcanists actually came earlier than this item.
- The Arcane sigil looks vaguely like a lobster or scorpion.
- The Arcane sigil was the first sigil to have been obtained from a solo kill of the Corporeal Beast.
