Aquanites are Magic-based monsters, and can hit fairly often for decent amounts of damage on players not wearing Ranged armour. However, a player with level 92 in Prayer and access to Ancient Curses can use Soul Split, and can easily sustain themselves for long periods of time using any a tier 80+ weapon. For those without access to Soul Split, it is highly recommended to use Ranged. A Ring of slaying or the Fairy ring network can provide quick access to the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon, but the Aquanites are located at the very end of the dungeon, resulting in long banking times. Players with either a mask or helm of the Aquanites, or a Mask of the Kura or Helm of the Kuraski, have access to 2 daily teleports bringing them directly to the Aquanites (or the nearby Kurasks), which allows players to bypass the long walking distance.
If a player is using Protect from Magic/Deflect Magic, Aquanites have a chance of disabling it and dealing damage. The longer an overhead protection prayer is active while fighting an Aquanite, the greater the chance of the prayer being disabled and damage being taken.[source needed] Occasionally disabling and re-enabling the protection prayer (Prayer flicking) will negate this mechanic almost entirely.
When combining the Demonhorn Necklace and the Bonecrusher you can have infinite prayer potions, which makes it possible to use soul split without running out of prayer points. This makes it possible to stay here without using supplies. You can also train Farming at Aquanites when a Seedicide is used. This one can be obtained at the Cabbage Facepunch Bonanza minigame. It is possible to get up to 100k farming experience per hour.

Aquanites are weak to arrows, so Ranged is recommended for medium-level players. It is not advised to use crossbows or thrown weapons unless they are tier 70 or higher. Armour that provides boosts to damage should be prioritized to increase kill speeds and lessen the amount of time spent fighting.
