Animated Steel Armour is found at the Warriors' Guild. To summon it, the player must put a steel full helmet, a steel platebody and steel platelegs on the Magical Animator. Animated armour is killed to gain Tokens, which gives access to the top floor of the Warriors' Guild and the Cyclopes that need to be killed to get Defenders.
There is a safespot for all of the animated armours: just go behind one of the magical animators and then kill him with a halberd. Ranged and magical attacks cannot be used in the Warriors' Guild. This can be a great help when fighting high level armours such as the rune or adamant animated armour.
Another thing that can save food while trying to get to the safespot, is that if you go out of that specific room, the armour will stay in the room with a flashing yellow arrow over its head. Then, when you go in again, the armour will no longer be aggressive to you.
Please note: Sometimes your armour will be destroyed while you are using it at the Warriors' guild, and you will not get it back. Also, ranging this armour is impossible as this is a melee guild. Please also note you will get your armour back most of the time, not all of the time, after fighting.

Note: you will almost always get all three armour pieces back.
- The Animated Steel Armour has the attacking speed of a scimitar, despite wielding a longsword. It also uses it as a stabbing weapon, whereas players can only use it for slashing.
- The only armour that can be destroyed are the platelegs.
- The full helm of the animated steel armour has a silver plume, though a steel full helm used to have a blue plume. After the graphical update of steel armour, they retain the old model.
- Those that appear in the fight with Tarn Razorlor have a 100% chance of dropping an Iron platebody.
