Ancient Guthix Temple

The Ancient Guthix Temple is a dungeon found in the While Guthix Sleeps quest. To access it, the player must have a Sapphire lantern. If the player goes to the Tears of Guthix cavern, one of the Light creatures can be attracted to the player, who can then ride the creature down the abyss and to the temple. After While Guthix Sleeps, players can come back to fight Tormented Demons for their drops.
During the quest, the player must open an ancient huge door within this temple by solving a puzzle concerning Herblore.
Also during the quest the temple houses the legendary Stone of Jas. It has remained there for centuries but during the quest it was taken by Lucien, a Mahjarrat who possesses the Staff of Armadyl.

- 1 - Opening to the lower level of the Tears of Guthix cavern.
- 2 - Eight statues. Each corridor to a statue contains three Druid Spirits. During the While Guthix Sleeps quest, players use Herblore ingredients at the statues to receive Dolmens.
- 3 - Stone table. During the quest, the player uses the dolmens on the table to unlock and open the huge door.
- 4 - Huge door with Guthix's image. During the quest, this door blocks the passage to the mysterious stone until it is opened.
- 5 - Chamber with the mysterious Stone of Jas. During the quest, this stone is revealed to be the immensely powerful Stone of Jas, which Lucien then takes. Afterwards, Tormented Demons inhabit the chamber. The chamber is a multi-combat area.

- When accessing this temple after the quest's completion, the cutscene that occurs of the character being lowered down by a light being could be a reference to a similar scene in the movie "The Abyss".
