The Amulet of ranging is an amulet released on 28 July 2009 together with the Poison Arrow Pub and the Aquanites. It boosts the player's ranged attack and magic defence bonuses. It is dropped by Aquanites, which are found in the last section of the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon, just past the Kurasks, and can only be attacked with a Slayer level of 78. Note that Aquanites are the only monster in RuneScape that drop this item. You must get this drop as the full item, for you cannot get the shark tooth and string it like regular necklaces and amulets. Many players prefer the fury for better overall bonuses, The amulet of fury gives 10 range attack bonus which is relatively close to the amulet of range. An amulet of glory is a cheaper alternative, providing +10 ranged attack bonus as well as other stats. It is currently the best amulet option for range attack bonus in RuneScape, providing an attack bonus of 15 to ranged. The amulet cannot be lent.
