Ahrim the Blighted's equipment is obtainable from the Barrows minigame. A full set consists of Ahrim's robetop, robeskirt, hood, and staff. The set requires 70 Magic and 70 Defence to wear, and Attack to use the staff. Ahrim's robes, tied with the Robes of Subjugation are the fourth greatest Magic robes in the game (after Ganodermic, Virtus, and Sea singer's robes). As such it is popular among high-levelled mages. The staff, on the other hand, is not commonly used as it is two-handed and the set effect is generally not seen as particularly useful. Ahrim's (along with other barrows equipment) degrades over a period of 15 hours, but only in combat.
Ahrim's set offers some of the best bonuses available and is normally recommended for fighting various high level monsters.
Blighted Aura: Successful magic attacks have a chance of lowering the enemy's Strength by five levels repeatedly. Contrary to popular belief, it does NOT lower your Strength by 10%. The chance is random; however, it occurs in approximately 1 out of 5 casts, or roughly 20% of the time.
In the cinematic trailer for RuneScape, during Ozan's flashbacks, he seems to be wearing gilded versions of Ahrim's robe top and legs, which could suggest addable/removable gilding on armor. This is interesting, as Ozan is normally viewed as being a ranger, and wearing magic gear while using the ranged combat style is unwise, at it vastly lowers your chance at hitting your opponent.
