Players may also deposit/withdraw money into/from the kingdom's coffers, retrieve the resources their subjects have gathered, and change how many subjects are working on a particular task. With the NPC Contact spell, players can now communicate with Advisor Ghrim from anywhere and can ask about their approval rating. They cannot, however, deposit or withdraw money or receive the book on kingdom management.
He will also give players the rewards for the hard Fremennik Province Tasks. He will also purchase unnoted flatpacks for 10% of the material cost needed to make them provided that you have the Fremennik sea boots 3 (having it in the bank is fine). This transaction is independent of the Kingdom Management activity.
Since a hidden update on 8 September2010, you can now right-click Manage-Kingdom to go directly to that interface. And as of another update on 9 November2010, there is a right-click option 'Collect' to collect your resources.
In the past, players could only find out their approval rating by talking to Advisor Ghrim. After an update, players can now find out the approval by talking to any of the citizens in Miscellania or Etceteria. The RuneScape toolbar also shows approval rating and how much money is in the kingdom's coffers.
If players kill a citizen, then talk to Ghrim, he will state, "Your Royal Highness, I should tell you right away that killing the people of this kingdom will not make you popular with anyone."
Though his examine says "He probably hasn't smiled since the Third Age", if players talk to him about the Tasks rewards, he will in fact smile. The examine text is most likely based on his attitude and reputation, and not the idea that he has not smiled for ages.
After the Treasure Trails update, there were forum posts about gaining abnormally large harvests from managing your kingdom on Miscellania. Shortly after these posts, Jagex changed Advisor Ghrim to when you tried to talk to him you got a message in the chat box saying, "Nothing interesting happens." Shortly after that they changed him again to have a chat message that said, "Please try again later."
If you teleport viewing the items you are receiving from your kingdom, you will continue talking to Ghrim at the location at which you teleported to.
Currently, if you ask for your Fremennik Boots back, Advisor Ghrim's name will read as misc_advisor_ghrim.
