The Adamant defender is the third strongest defender; it is held in the off-hand in place of a shield. It requires 40 Attack and 30 Defence to wield. The adamant defender is dropped by Cyclopes on the top floor of the Warriors' Guild, but only if players have obtained a Mithril defender. Similarly, players need the adamant defender before the cyclopes will drop the rune defender.

The Adamant defender was once kept by players in order to not need to revert to a Bronze defender if they lose their Rune defender, but since the Dragon defender has been released it is advised to keep the Rune defender instead.

A ring of wealth will NOT increase the drop rate of defenders but multi-token mode does.
