The Adamant defender is the second strongest defender. It is held in the off-hand in place of a shield. It requires 30 Attack and 30 Defence to wield. The adamant defender is dropped by Cyclopes on the top floor of the Warriors' Guild, but only once you have obtained a Mithril defender. And similarly, you need the adamant defender before the cyclopes will drop the rune defender.
A ring of wealth will not work, as it increases a chance of a rare drop based on high alchemy value. Since the defenders have a high alchemy value of 0 coins, it will not show up as common.[source needed]
