The Adam kiteshield (g) can be obtained as rewards from Level 2 Treasure trails, but can be used by non-members. It cannot be made through the Smithing skill. The gold design on it is just for looks and has the same defence bonuses as the Adamant kiteshield.

Remember, regular equipment cannot be gilded or trimmed by you or another player in any way, and may only be obtained through trading or Treasure trails.
