Abyssal titans are level 93 Summoning familiars that were introduced with the "Summoning 2" update on 31 March 2008. Abyssal titans are classified as Beasts of burden because they have 7 slots for unnoted rune essence and Pure essence. As they are also Abyssal creatures, they are one of only three familiars able to hold essence.

Abyssal titan pouch is made by using a Summoning pouch on a Summoning obelisk with 113 spirit shards, a Green charm and an abyssal charm in the inventory. Making the pouch earns 163.2 experience points. Using the pouch to summon an Abyssal titan gains 1.9 experience points, and costs 10 Summoning points.

Essence shipment scroll enables the use of the Essence Shipment special move for an Abyssal titan. Using the pouch on a Summoning obelisk creates 10 scrolls.
[edit] Essence Shipment
Essence Shipment is the special move for Abyssal titans, which can store all essence (pure and rune) in the player's and the titan's inventory into the bank, without the need of going to the bank in person. It is not possible to use any rune crafting pouches and have the essence inside the pouch shipped by the titan using the essence shipment scroll.
[edit] Mining pure essence
With this special move, all pure essence can be sent to the bank immediately. One could stay at the mines continuously until the titan vanishes. It is advisable to bring more Abyssal titan pouches and Summoning potion to extend your time in the mine. Mining with an Abyssal titan and Essence shipment scrolls can bring over 2,000 pure essence per hour, making over 328,000 coins per hour, with a profit of 281,104 per hour, factoring in the cost of two pouches (as each titan lasts just over half of an hour) and 70 scrolls (roughly what is needed to bank 2,000 essence).
