The Third age range coif is a member's only piece of armour that is part of the Third age ranger set. To wear the coif the player needs at least 45 Defence and 65 Ranged. To obtain a third age ranger coif the player can either complete a Level 3 Treasure trail (The chance of receiving a 3rd age piece is 1 in 10,000 according to Paul Gower) or trade with another player. It cannot be made using the Crafting skill.

This coif has the 3rd best Ranged attack bonus of all helm items in RuneScape, and has been superseded by the Armadyl helmet and Morrigan's coif. Even with that, it is rarely used because of its high price. It is mainly used to show wealth.
