The Third age amulet is a members-only piece of jewellry that is part of the Third age mage set. To wear the amulet the player needs at least 30 Defence and 65 Magic. To obtain a third age amulet the player can either complete a Level 3 Treasure trail or trade with another player. It is currently the best amulet for magic. It is also the most expensive amulet in the game, beating the Amulet of Fury because it is extremely rare. It was the first amulet that gave +15 to an offensive stat, with +15 magic, beating out the Amulet of Glory and Amulet of Fury, both of which have +10 in all attack stats. However, as of 28 July 2009, with the release of the Amulet of ranging (+15 Ranged), it shares the record.
The chance of getting a 3rd Age Amulet from a Clue Scroll is almost impossible according to many people.
