- Meet and Greet - As far as meeting and greeting goes, it was a success. I lagged out once, and had some lag from time to time, but it was definitely successful.
- Costume Contest - Me, my friend, and some other attendees I saw were confused as to whether or not our costumes were even looked at. The anouncement of the winner was at least clear to me, but I disagreed extremely with the results. Don't mean to be mean or anything, but I didn't think that Soldier's was that great.
- Hide and go Fally - Well, lots of people didn't know it was a game of hide and seek, so a big crowd just sat in Falador Square throughout the whole thing. Some random other people came, saying and asking things like "why r u guys rioting?", "we pay to pk!", "this is a fail of a riot", and so on. It didn't help that a few party-goers started saying "We want *** marriage". Even though many people tried to explain that 'this isn't a riot, it's a party', people still asked why we were rioting. I mean, have they never seen a riot before? Your screen would be so filled with spam you wouldn't be able to see your own text. And us? We were just standing there, exchanging light conversation.
- Cabbage Retrieval and Bombing - Fun.
- Fist of Guthix - We had so many people there that we could actually make it preform as if it was a popular world! The crowd in the center of the arena was much smaller, but I often waited only a few seconds before going into a match. Oh, and I beat four Wikians in a row (you know who you are XD), and didn't lose once.
- Clan Wars - By now, essentially all of the fest mods had left, leaving me effectively in charge. I ordered some people to join Einfrein's [(still not sure if I spelled that correctly...)] chat, and we had it pretty even. Out of all of the wars, I think it was something like three wins and three losses for each side. I thought it was pretty fun.
- Any other events after that - I didn't participate in them, so I don't know how they went down.
I'm pretty sure our attendance was at a new record in scale.
Throughout the WikiFest, some people called it the "RuneScape Summer Festival". Now, if you're a Wikian, you'll see what's wrong with that. It's not a RuneScape Festival, it's a WikiFest. Also, lots of people that I've never even heard of appeared. Many people I recognized from the Clan Chat, the Wiki itself or some other form of being able to be recognized, but that still left many others who probably just came to the party because they saw Jagex's anouncement of it, having probably no or nearly no idea what it was for.
When it came to how smoothely the fest ran, it ran pretty smoothely. It was the best WikiFest since, probably, a year ago when they started getting out of hand.
I don't think we should have Jagex anounce the next fest. We had 150-ish people sign, saying they were going to come. That's enough on its own. I'd rather have a moderately-sized party of Wikians than a large party of Wikians with some random people mixed in.
I only skimmed the list of events in the schedule, so I have no idea how close or far off of the schedule we were.
It was good, overall.
